Frequently Asked Questions
Here are just a few of the questions we get asked frequently about the great services we offer here at Dermaclear Advanced Cosmetic Procedures.
If you have a question of your own, please feel free to get in touch with us and we'll get back to you quickly & maybe you might see your question here soon too.
How do you treat moles?
When we treat a mole we perform a full analysis of the mole and a questionnaire to check suitability, if we are in any doubt of the moles suitability we will ask for a note from your doctor to ensure the mole is safe to treat.
We do not remove the mole we visibly and significantly reduce the appearance of the mole.
Will my skin blemish go completely after one treatment or will it take more treatments?
It all depends on the type of blemish being treated, for example skin tags the results are often instantaneous yet other blemishes may take a little longer once again when you attend a consultation this will all be discussed with you.
Will the Dermaplaning treatment make my Facial hair grow back dark and coarse?
The Dermaplaning procedure will remove all of the facial hair present from the face. If the hair is fine downy hair or vellous hair it will grow back exactly the same as was before the treatment. You can occasionally feel the hair grow back as it presents its self as a blunt hair, however after a few days the hair tapers to its normal state soon after.
What is the difference between IPL and Laser hair removal?
IPL treats a much wider range of hair colours and skin types than Laser, as IPL uses a broader spectrum of light. Therefore, IPL will penetrate light across a wide range of depths resulting in a greater number of follicles being treated, making IPL more cost effective. IPL will also cause less damage than Laser to the surrounding skin so the risk of hyper/hypo pigmentation is significantly lower.
Do you charge for a consultation?
We do not charge for a consultation this is part of your treatment. If we have to perform a patch test on your skin for electrolysis or advanced electrolysis you would need to pay £10.
How long does a treatment of advanced electrolysis take?
It all depends of the type of skin blemish that is being treated, this will be discussed in your consultation where a treatment plan will be discussed with you to suit your individual needs.
Where are you based in the North West?
We are based in Warrington:
Tracey Bold Pilates Studio
1st Floor, New Cut Lane
Warrington, Cheshire WA1 4AG
How do I know what Facial Treatment to book?
During the consultation stage of a treatment, we will both discuss your skin concerns and establish what you want to achieve, at this stage I can fully explain which treatments would enable you to achieve results. During your facial, I will analyse your skin and together we can design a treatment plan to suit your personal needs.
So if I have electrolysis hair removal will my hair never grow back?
The hair grows in a cycle it is either active, changing and slowing down or asleep and this is when it naturally sheds. We never know what stage of hair we treat is in so it may take time to eventually achieve your goal, however it is still classed as the only permanent form of hair removal.
Do the treatments hurt?
All of the electrolysis and advanced electrolysis treatments use both heat and chemicals to perform their job, therefore a slight heat sensation is felt as the treatment is performed.
